Kamil Yılmaz is Professor of Economics at Koç University. He is an elected member of the Science Academy. He received the Encouragement Award in the Social Sciences and Humanities from the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TUBA) in 2003. He was the Director of Koç University-TUSIAD Economic Research Forum from 2007 to 2009. He was a visiting professor at the University of Pennsylvania in 2003-2004 and 2010-2011 academic years. He received B.A. degree in Economics from Boğaziçi University; M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
